This mod improves the default summer environment & weather and transforms older parts of the map with newer high resolution graphics.

Hey mate nice mod as always. Just wanted to let you know that for some reason ai have their lights turned on all the time. Only ai related mod I use is Jazzycat

This mod doesn’t make changes to ai headlights. In many countries in Europe it is the law to have your headlights on at all times, even during the day and this is reflected in the game

Grimes, you are doing the best mods out there. There are now must haves. I have a short question about mod compatibility for both ATS and ETS. Concerning ETS2, do you know if the Summer mod works as well with RusMap? For ATS (the ATS Summer version), does it work with Reforma Mexican maps and C2C? For me, Autumn or Winter would be a welcome variety ASAP.
I won’t be updating for now, as I prefer the varirty of seasons to a new lighting model in 1.4.

Updates usually break all my season mods, on ATS spring and summer definitely won’t work, autumn and mild winter possibly, but they should all be updated within a couple of weeks of 1.41 being released.

If you delete the detail_vegetation_def.rus.sii file from the RusMap def folder that will stop it from crashing.

Hey Grimes Your mod makes my game crashed. I am on version 1.44 using your newest mod version. That is very sad I hope you can fix it. in the game log its saying can not find stone grass grey something.

Thats good to hear, hopefully that issue can be fixed and i am pretty sure that all of your mods have the same issue but i havent tested other mods from you yet but if i remember on the previous version of the game with your mods the game crashed too.

Hi, i know it is a stupid question but can you use all your seasonal mods into the game and based on the date of the year the weather and everything will change? Or you can only have one of your mods active and for example in winter you deactivate the autumn mod and activate winter mod? And how does it work in different countries? for example if you activate winter mod, will you have snow even in very hot countries?

You have to use the season mods one at a time and each season mod including winter will effect the entire map.

I’m not sure you can unfortunately, maybe if you follow this website you’ll be notified if I update a post but I’m not sure about that, once a new version of ETS2 is officially released I release updates of these mods over the days and weeks after.

I played for a few days with your mod New Sommer and after that I decided that there is nothing special and almost no different from the stock environment and I uninstalled it. After uninstalling, I saw that the difference is very big. The world is much more colorful with your mod.
But there is one problem. I use rain mod by Darkcaptain (from steam). Probably the best rain mod. The sound of the thunder is especially good. The game doesn’t crash when I run it together with your mod, but it seems that these two mods are not very compatible. The sound of rain and thunder are different, and the fog looks different (worse).
So I thought maybe you could work a little with Darkcaptain and make these two mods compatible. As the mod creator Sound Fixes Pack Collection and Darkcaptain’s Rain mod did. Their mods are perfectly compatible. Need this compatibility with spring, summer and fall mods. If you can’t do it, that’s okay. This is just a suggestion to improve the sound a little .

Darkcaptain’s rain mod makes no changes to the weather, it changes the rainfall and rain textures, make sure you have it above New Summer in Mod Manager. New Summer makes no sound changes, maybe the changes you are seeing or hearing is down to other mods you’re using.

I’ve noticed a bug with the mod in Hanover, there is a bridge that has an invisible wall so you cannot drive through it. I removed this mod and there was no longer an invisible wall

nice mod, but in some desert areas there is grass between the road edge and the sand which looks weird. you can see it in some areas of the great steppe and the road to asia mod https://imgur.com/a/dOgFK7O (the screenshot is from the e121 near shetpe, kz from the great steppe)

Thanks for letting me know, this is the result of changes I made to road textures for the Baltic and Black Sea dlcs, so you might get this in desert maps if they use those same road textures, you can remove it opening the mod and going to material/road then delete the road_template folder.

Hello Grimes.
Since a few months ago I’ve been noticing misaligned white lines on the map and today I finally took the time to try and figure out which of my hundred mods was causing this.
I did a test using just the ‘Environment – Summer Weather v5.4 by Grimes’ mod to make sure.
I don’t remember this also occurs in other mods.
I did a brief test in the city of Pecs but this occurs in several locations across the entire map and other prefabs also
There are no errors neither warnings in game.log.txt. It is cleaned:

This is an issue in older parts of the map where road textures don’t match up with prefabs, it’s the same without any mods but less apparent as SCS use very thick (and unrealistic) lines, if you want to use the original lines just open the mod go to material>road and delete the lines.dds file.

Is your mods works with Road to Asia/Africa mods? When I tried drive through the Mary (Turkmenistan) – game off in the same place from east of the city after the crossroad. I tried to cancel, delete a difference mods, but problem was resolved I deleted your New Summer v5.5 mod. It didnt crashed there before (I played with your season’s mods in Asia, Africa before too and it was OK). Now if I want go to the Asia with your mods – I off them when drive to the Turkmenistan. Do you know why it crashes? If it isn’t hard for you – try to drive this route too and check It. Thank you very much

It could be that New Summer is causing a conflict with another mod you’re using rather than the map, try disabling any other weather and graphics mods you’re using and place New Summer on top in Mod Manager
