This is a graphics and weather mod that simulates a late autumn/mild winter environment and transforms older parts of the map with newer high resolution graphics.

Late Autumn/Mild Winter is a weather and graphics mod so other graphics, weather and HDR mods should be disabled to avoid conflicts, issues and crashes.
If you are using Next-Gen only use the base part of that mod.

Are you using the extreme grass addon, if so disable it, it is no longer needed.

Hello, I was trying to use this mod in convoys but it throws an error. The people who want to enter the game are closed without further ado, we do not use any weather mod or anything like that.
Have you guys tried the convoy mod? any idea why that happens?

Same problem here, game crashes when using this mod, does not crash when using Frosty. Will try to post a game log later this week.

Started with a new profile with a few mods, didn’t experience any crashes yet, but this error occured:

That’s just a standard warning, won’t cause any issues, if you’re getting a crash on another profile it will most likely be down to a mod conflict.

Try lowering Grass Density from high to low. It’s the only I’ve been able to avoid crashes when using this mod (or all other mods besides Frosty). I haven’t been able to figure out what the cause is. In my case I’m not using any mods that could cause a conflict with Late Autumn/Mild Winter (or at least no obvious ones). Could it be that the increased grass density in combination with Jazzycat/TrafficManiac mods is too much to handle for the game engine? I have noticed that my RAM/VRAM are almost full when playing the game, but this was also the case before Grimes introduced the extreme grass addon.

One other thing worth mentioning is that I’ve been generating my ProMods definition files with “Vegetation drawing distance” set to ultra. Could that possibly be related to the crashes? I haven’t thought of testing this until now.

I’ve been ‘testing’ with a very clean profile and added a few mods. Other than the warning mentioned earlier there where no crashes. Yesterday I switched to the profile where I had the crashes. Discovered a loading order problem with a couple of mods and drove for a hour and half. No problems occurred so it was probably a glitch somewhere in the ETS2 System. If I encounter new crashes I will report back.

It seems like reducing the draw distance in the ProMods definition file has eliminated the crashes in my case, although I need to test this a bit longer.

Hi Grimes, sorry for double posting. i think i had already asked this question but cant find it anywhere here. However i woulk like to aks if your mod affects the speed of the ai traffic in bad weather? During rain or fog the ki trucks dont drive faster than 50 kph. Thank you for your feedback! No my mods don’t make any changes to how ai traffic behaves, ai traffic will sometimes slow down in rain, this is hard coded into the game.

Hello Grimes, for the first time I noticed, that the game drops fps while using this mod. Without this mod or with your winter-mod for example, fps is fine. I have never had this problem before. Nevertheless, keep up your great work! 🙂

I increased the grass density on my season mods except Frosty so perhaps you could try reducing the grass density in the settings to low.

Yes – it helps. Especially at new ET maps is the FPS drop problem. (austria rework, spain, germany rework..) on large landscape areas usually.
it’s a shame, I have good HW (3090Ti, 32GB of RAM, SSD drive) and FPS drops is present.
Interestingly, I see almost no difference when changing the grass density.
Was it necessary to increase the density?

Increasing the grass density will have a negligable effect on fps for most systems, certainly that should be the case for a 3090 ti, the only time it would have a noticeable effect was if your gpu had a small amount of vram and the increased grass density took you over that limit. FPS is not uniform on the ETS2 map, there are some parts of the map that are over 10 years old that are less graphically intense and there are newer areas which are more intense. You will see dips in fps in some areas and increases in others whether you are using a graphics mod or not.

Grimes please help. I am using the newest version of promods and and the newest version of your mod and I put yours at the top and out of nowhere evberything turns to chrome when it gets dark. PLease fix it. Never had this issue before ever with your mods.

When you get this issue copy your game log file which is in your ETS2 folder and paste it at pastebin.com, they’ll give you a link which you can post here, and I’ll take a look at and try and figure out what your issue is.

Except of the mod (early autumn for 1.46) all other weather mods have a problem with the dashboard lights when is dusk or down . Please check this out.

Unfortunately since the lighting changes in 1.40 weather attributes effect the dashboard backlights, you can even see this with default weather at dawn and dusk where the the dashboard backlights can be quite dim then suddenly become brighter. The larger the changes you make to the weather the more noticeable this can be, so particularly with this mod and Frosty. I tried a few workarounds but it didn’t work, I also posted about it the SCS Forum, unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a solution.

… and yes. I tested this mod(-Environment – Late Autumn Mild Winter Weather v5.3 Grimes) and the issue in white lines occurs here also like I said in New Summer.

first of all thank you so much for this mod! i have noticed two things while using it. the first thing is that most of the trees have quite much leaves hanging but with a darker green than without your mod. furthermore there are still thunderstorms. I am using promods as well. mod has highest priority in mod manager, no further wether mods are used. do i anything wrong or is this normal? Thanks in advance for your feedback! Kind regards markus

Maybe post some pics to let me know what you mean, most of the trees that still have leaves are coniferous such as pines and spruces, if check the video on the page that is how it should look. As for thunderstorms people asked for them to be back in the mod so you’ll get them occasionally, although I might make them rarer in the new version.

That’s because you’re using low settings so you’ll get low level of detail vegetation, you’d have to put the vegetation settings to high.

Thanks for the quick update and for your season’s mod. Since I use them, I change them with the real seasons, as everybody I presume. So I just initiated Late Autumn/Mild Winter today.

thanks for the cool season mods. They’re awesome!
But I think i found a very stange “behavior” of the rain:
When the sun is set and its dark night, the rain disappears, althought its set to 100%. When the sun is back up, its starts raining again.
Its only happening in Promods. Standard-Map is fine.

It’s because in 1.49 precipitation was disabled when temps go below 1c, this is to stop it raining in Winterland, so when using this mod with Promods some areas will go below 1c as the have their own temps for some regions, place this fix above this mod https://sharemods.com/ua0sbafcpyb7/promods_rain_fix.scs.html

not sure whether it is late autumn mod or another mod but at nightime there is no rain. lightning can be seen but no rain even though 100% rain is set. does somebody else have this issue?
